Hearts of Black Science, based in Swedish Stenungsund (just outside Gothenburg) is Daniel Änghede and Tomas Almgren and they bring you powerful, suggestive indie rock with electronic influences. Think Danish Mew mixed with Keane but with a distinct personal touch.

The debut album was released on reknowned UK indie label AC30 and they did two shorter UK tours back in 06/07. Among the highlights of the tour were two live shows in the BBC6 studio in London.

Their new material is released on Swedish Wonderland Records, home of acts like Emmon, Convoj and Universal Poplab. The first single, Gold and Dust was sent out to radio in the end of August with a official release date of September 9th. The single will be released digitally and as a super limited 3" CDsingle.

The single is followed by the album The Star In The Lake on October 21st. The release party will be held at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg on the 10th of October.

The Hearts of Black Science live show at Trädgårn in Gothenburg on August 25th was recorded by Swedish national radio show P3 Live and will be broadcast together with a Coldplay live show in September or October.

Daniel Änghede und Tomas Almgren kommen aus Stenungsund, einem Ort, 50km nördlich von Göteborg. Ihr kraftvoller, suggestiver Indie-Rock mit elektronischen Einflüssen erinnert an eine Mischung aus den dänischen „Mew“, gepaart mit den englischen „Keane“, jedoch aber mit einer ausgeprägten persönlichen Note.

Das Debüt-Album von HOBS wurde auf dem renommierten britischen Indie-Label AC30 veröffentlicht. In den Jahren 2006 und 2007 tourte die Band zweimal durch UK. Zu den Höhepunkten der Tour zählten zwei Live-Shows in den BBC6 Studio in London.

Ihr neues Album „The Star in the Lake“ erscheint 2006 auf dem schwedischen Label „Wonderland Records“(u.a. Emmon, Convoj und Universal Poplab), Schwedens erste Adresse für Electro-/Synth.-Music. Die erste Radio-Single „Gold and Dust“ ist seit dem 9. September digital und als stark limitierte 3" CD erhältlich.

Die Veröffentlichung des Albums „The Star in the Lake“ folgte am 21. Oktober.

Die „Hearts of Black Science“ Live-Show vom 25. August aus dem Trädgårn in Göteborg wurde vom schwedischen Radio-Show P3 Live aufgenommen und war zusammen mit einem Coldplay Konzert im September ausgestrahlt.

Ende Oktober/ Anfang November werden „Hearts of Black Science“ als Support für die Engländer „Crippled Black Phoenix“ (u.a. Ex-Mogwai Mitglieder) bei deren Skandinavien-Terminen dabei sein.

Stenungsundsbaserade Hearts of Black Science består av Daniel Änghede och Tomas Almgren och bjuder på mäktig, suggestiv indierock med elektroniska influenser.

Debutalbumet släpptes på renommerade engelska indiebolaget AC30 och två kortare turnévändor till England klarades av under 06/07 där höjdpunkterna var två livespelningar hos BBC6 i London.

Nya materialet släpps på svenska Wonderland Records där de blir labelkamrater med akter som Universal Poplab, Convoj och Emmon. Ett första smakprov i form av singeln Gold and Dust gick ut till radio i slutet av augusti och officiellt releasedatum är 9:e september. Singeln släpps digitalt samt som 3-tums CDsingel i extremt begränsad upplaga.

Singeln följs av albumet The Star In The Lake som släpps 21:e oktober. Releasefesten hålls redan 10:e oktober på Sticky Fingers i Göteborg.

Bandets spelning på Trädgårn i Göteborg 25:e augusti spelades in av P3 Live och kommer sändas under hösten ihop med delar av Coldplays spelning på Stockholms stadion- fint sällskap!
