INFORMATION
Wonderland was started by me, Sebastian
Hess, in november 1994 as a mailordercompany specializing in 2nd hand
musicrarities. I also ran a shop in Lerum in Sweden. Over the years
people came from all over Sweden from Europe and even Brazil and the
USA to visit my shop and to get hold of those elusive rarities they
needed for their collection.
Nowadays I sell the rarities over the internet and since 2004 I also
run the Wonderland Records- recordlabel. It all started after I saw
the band Redlight District live in Gothenburg and found it unbelievable
that an act that strong didn´t have a recordingcontract. Said
and done- I gave them an offer they could.... have easily turned down
but after about six months The First EP say the light of day. One thing
led to another and I am still around- now with Redlight, Quarterhorse,
Thermostatic, Depressive Art, Universal Poplab and Dimbodius under my
wings.
My labelphilosophy is simple:
Awesome music performed by awesome people.
My slogan is also simple:
Wonderland- not like the big ones and never will be!
My lifephilosophy is also simple:
Always try to treat people the way you yourself want to be treated.
It doesn´t have to be more complicated than that!
